MVC3 Producer, Ryota Niitsuma, Working on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD


The producer and director of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Ryota Niitsuma, revealed yesterday via twitter that he is producing the HD version of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The updated JoJo's will feature online play with eight player lobbies and a matching system with skill points that are similar to Super Street Fighter IV. The matching system will let you choose opponents based on factors like location, skill and connection speed. Also, you can earn battle points for characters and player points for individual player strengths which will contribute to leaderboard position. The multiplayer lobby system will also be included where eight players can play at a time and the winners will be able to stay within the lobby, while the losers will be placed into spectator mode. Users will also be able save fight replays and share them with other players.

The game will be released on the Playstation 3 on August 21st and the X-Box 360 on August 22nd for $19.99.

The King of Fighters XIII Now Available on PSN & XBLA


The King of Fighters XIII is now available for purchase on PSN & XBLA for $29.99. The Playstation 3 version clocks in at 2.2GB, while the X-Box 360 version is 2.8GB.

Sleeping Dogs Short Film


Square Enix and Machinima have teamed up to make a short film based off of the new Sleeping Dogs video game. The director, Clinton Jones, was allowed to play the game at SE's offices and then was given creative freedom to do the film as he pleased.

New PS3 Collections Coming Soon


Three new Playstation 3 collections have been revealed by Sony. God of War, Infamous, and Ratchet & Clank will be the first of many to be released in the coming future. The GoW collection includes I through III on the disc while Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta will be download vouchers. All 5 games will be remastered in HD format, include exclusive DLC, one month of Playstation Plus all for the total cost of $40.

The Infamous collection will include 1 & 2 along with Festival of Blood and all of the DLC previously released. The price point for the Infamous collection will be $29.99.

The details for the R&C collection, which were released in early July, are that Ratchet & Clank, Going Commando, & Up Your Arsenal along with early access to the Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time demo. The games will be remastered in 1080p HD, 720p for 3D, and restored online game play for Up Your Arsenal. The collection will cost $29.99.

All three collections will be released on August 28th.

60 Min Extra Gameplay on the PS3 Version of Assassin's Creed III


The newly revealed cover of the Playstation 3 version of Assassin's Creed III shows that this version includes an extra 60 minutes of game play that will not be in the X-Box 360 version. It's expected, though, that 360 users will eventually gain access to this extra game play through a future DLC package.

(Rumor) Prince of Persia to get a Reboot, Again


A leaked screenshot of what could be another reboot of Prince of Persia was posted on the Ubisoft forums. The reason it's being rumored as a reboot is because the file name is "POP_ZERO_2," which the former art director on the second reboot, Jonathan Jacques-Belletete, used as the code name for the game. Ubisoft has yet to comment on the matter.

Dead or Alive 5 Collector's Edition Swimsuits Revealed



Tecmo Koei has revealed what the swimsuit costumes will look like for the Collector's Edition of Dead or Alive 5. DoA5 will be released in North America on September 25th and in Europe on September 28th.





Skullgirls Patch Delayed



Skullgirls co-creator Mike Z posted on Shoryuken yesterday that the patch has been delayed because of financial reasons that are beyond his control. He released no other information on the subject. To see what the much anticipated patch will include, visit Blue Gartr & Shoryuken.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Announced



This past weekend, Arc System Works announced a new BlazBlue game is in the works. The game is a sequel to Continuum Shift instead of just another variant. A number of changes have been introduced including an Overdrive system which sounds similar to the X-Factor from Marvel Vs Capcom 3, character's stances have been completely re-drawn, Gold Bursts have been removed in favor of Overdrives, but Green Bursts remain, & a Crush Trigger has been added to break an opponent's guard stance. Along with these new changes, three new characters have been introduced. They are Amane, Bullet and Azrael.

BlazBlue: CP will be released this winter in Japanese arcades with a console release coming some time in 2013. Information on move sets and other tweaks can be found at Dustloop & Shoryuken.

Persona 4: Arena: The Tutorials

Atlus, with the help of the Cross Counter crew, is making sure that North American FG players will be ready for their new game when it releases on August 7th by releasing a series of tutorials that goes over the fundamentals of the game play.
