MVC3 Producer, Ryota Niitsuma, Working on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD

The producer and director of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Ryota Niitsuma, revealed yesterday via twitter that he is producing the HD version of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The updated JoJo's will feature online play with eight player lobbies and a matching system with skill points that are similar to Super Street Fighter IV. The matching system will let you choose opponents based on factors like location, skill and connection speed. Also, you can earn battle points for characters and player points for individual player strengths which will contribute to leaderboard position. The multiplayer lobby system will also be included where eight players can play at a time and the winners will be able to stay within the lobby, while the losers will be placed into spectator mode. Users will also be able save fight replays and share them with other players.

The game will be released on the Playstation 3 on August 21st and the X-Box 360 on August 22nd for $19.99.
